Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs

  The Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs undertakes very important duties which are of prime importance for the Presidency of the University. This position is the main link responsible for following up conferences, symposiums, seminars, and the various academic activities of the University, in addition to following up the undergraduate students' affairs and their discipline during their University careers and also after their graduation.

  A number of departments and divisions are affiliated to the Vice-Chancellor, namely the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, the Registration and Students' Affairs Department, the Quality Assurance Division, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division, the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division, the Woman's Affairs Division, in addition to the University Library. Each division has a director who is responsible for its activities and performs the assigned duties according to the instructions in force.

  The Office of the Vice-Chancellor is in charge of responding to letters received from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and adhering to the ministerial instructions. It also complies with the instructions regarding Students' Affairs Procedures Guide for Application, admission rules to the University, the standards of the University examination management, and checking up the outputs of the examination committees according to the rules and instructions issued by the Ministry. Besides that, the Office works out a number of studies, undertakes and follows up the procedures of setting up new academic departments in the University, in addition to the correspondence and instructions in effect in Shatt Al-Arab University.
