A seminar was held in the College of Law under the title "Democratic Procedures in Drafting the Constitutional Document," on Monday (18November, 2024) in the College Conference Hall. The lecturer, Mr. Ra'ef R. Radhi, a faculty member, indicated that various countries deal with Constitutions in different ways. One factor is the historical development of the political system in each country. The second factor is related to the development of the political and cultural thought of citizens. It is noticed in this respect that the following procedures reflected in the constituent assembly and constitutional referendum are more advanced than former procedures. These subsequent procedures denote that citizens are the only party who are instituting the Constitution.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of the College of Law, the Dean Assistants, the Head of the Department, a number of faculty members and students.
